4TEKGear.com Takes 5th Place in the is year's Fast 50 Awards!
Here are the details:
The companies in the 2021 class of winners in the Fast 50 Awards program are rising to the top.
The Charlotte Business Journal is putting a spotlight on 50 local companies that have seen significant growth over the last three years. This year’s honorees come from a variety of industries, from real estate teams, contractors and logistics companies to tech firms and health-care services. Many are repeat winners, having sustained strong growth over time.
The 50 companies in the latest class averaged a growth rate of 100% over the past three years. Fourteen of those in the ranking had average growth rates higher than 100% from 2018 to 2020, with the No. 1 company posting a whopping 803% average growth rate in that period.
Collectively, the honorees logged 2020 revenue totaling more than $570 million and they employ 21,000-plus people. All but 10, though, have 100 or fewer employees.
And while most are young operations, with 41 founded in 2010 or later, several have been in business since the late 1990s — and one has been around since 1972.
Companies applied for inclusion in this program after CBJ solicited nominations. Each nominee provided financial documentation to be evaluated by accounting firm CliftonLarsonAllen, which ranked participants based on average annual revenue growth over three years. To qualify for the program, nominees had to:
- Be a private, for-profit venture;
- Have U.S. headquarters in the greater Charlotte region; and
- Have finished three full fiscal years and registered sales of at least $1 million in 2020.
CBJ celebrated the honorees’ achievements — and revealed the 2021 ranking for the first time — during an awards ceremony and reception on Dec. 2 at the JW Marriott Charlotte hotel in uptown.
