Fast-growing Charlotte IT reseller 4TEKGear has made a significant investment in the growth of Mariner, a Charlotte software firm, and its Spyglass Visual Inspection platform.
Mariner’s flagship product, Spyglass Visual Inspection, uses artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, and image-based defect detection to help manufacturers improve product quality while reducing costs associated with manufacturing flaws.
“We are 100% behind the team at Mariner and think there’s a huge potential for growth,” says Mike Miller, co-founder of 4TEKGear.
4TEKGear was motivated to invest in Mariner as the company has been recognized by industry leader Microsoft as their global Partner of the Year for IoT in 2020, with Miller sharing a common interest in technology with Mariner CEO and founder Philip Morris.
Although the Spyglass Visual Inspection solution is not relevant to 4TEKGear’s work in IT product sales, it nonetheless aligns with 4TEKGear’s strategies for future growth.
“4TEKGear moving forward has ambition to invest in high-growth technology companies,” says William Houck, 4TEKGear co-founder. “Yes, we sell technology, but we have an appetite to invest in high-growth models as well. That led us to Mariner.”
